Kiran Shah is a member of the Investment Committee and leads investments and portfolio management at Mercurius Media Capital. Additionally, he is an Associate Director of Investments and Portfolio Management at Brand Capital International (BCI) in Silicon Valley, the strategic investment arm of The Times Group. At BCI, he oversees the end-to-end investment process from sourcing of investments, conducting due diligence, drafting investment proposals, executing deals, and portfolio management. Given the sector-agnostic nature of Brand Capital’s business, Kiran has conducted due diligence on numerous companies in sectors such as Education Technology, Healthcare Technology, E-Sports & Gaming, Software-as-a-Service, and other technology-oriented sectors. With his background in business and investment management, and years of on-the-ground experience, Kiran provides data-driven business and financial analysis and a strong sense of strategic direction to the current portfolio of 25+ companies with an invested value of $40 million. He also oversees portfolio growth and exit opportunities for the BCI division.

Before joining Brand Capital, Kiran worked with AIG Investments, PineBridge Investments & LIC Nomura Asset Management Company, in the asset management industry as a business development professional working with institutional investors. In this role, he strategized the investment approach and asset allocation for institutional investors based on portfolio analysis and investment research, market outlook, as well as the performance and positioning of equity, fixed income, and exchange-traded funds.

Kiran holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Gujarat University, India, an MBA with a specialization in Finance from Ahmedabad University, India, and an MSc in Investment Management from St. John’s University, New York.
